MAY

10 th & 11 th – Mothers Day Weekend -“Mother’s Are Special in O.C.” Flower give away to all moms at participating Boardwalk and Downtown stores, while supplies last. For more information call 609-525-9300.

10 th – Great Strides, Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis – a 10k walk to raise funds for research efforts to cure Cystic Fibrosis. Join friends and families for a day of fun. 10 th – Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey – 2:00pm at the Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace & boardwalk. In it’s 30 th year YOCJ is under the guidance of Artistic Director John Enz. The orchestra has earned a reputation as one of New Jerseys finest youth orchestras. In 2008 YOCJ commissioned composer Kiri Murakami to create a piece for the orchestra; “:Voyage” will have its first public performance at the Music Pier. For more information call 609-275-5042.

11 th - Mother’s Day Concert - The Friends of Music Committee of the Ocean City Arts Center will present its annual Mother’s Day concert at the Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace at 4pm. Admission to the concert is FREE. The concert will mark the tenth appearance of the West Chester District Senior Strings. The musicians in the orchestra are selected students from the West Chester Area School District. The orchestra is under the direction of Charles dePasquale - cellist with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra. This concert is in memory of Esther C. Weil whose Friends of Music brought outstanding music programs to Ocean City for many years.

11 th – Ocean City Barons Soccer- will open their 12th season in the United Soccer Leagues at Carey Stadium. They welcome first-year team Newark Ironbound.
